Ch-ch-ch-changes (and not for the better)

Recent Muslim turmoils set aside (check my opinions section for my view on those issues), the largest phone company in Norway, Telenor, decided to change their graphic profile this week. I may be old-fashioned, but I generally think that was a bad idea. I mean, look at the differences:

Telenor logo, before

Telenor logo, after

To me, the new logo looks more like it was downloaded for free or cheap from one of those template websites. What do you think?

Why a new logo?! It looks like the work of a first year design student (or the flying hat of a kids TV character).

My point exactly. And they even paid a brand consultant company (according to the press release, Wolff Olins in London) to develop the new logo. I don’t know how much, but whatever it was, it wasn’t worth it.

I have to agree with you on that on NeonNero 😉 Why change something, when it’s not too the better?
