The “peak” of human intelligence….

13.09.2010 20:05

A few weeks ago, I decided to start using Usenet newsgroups again. This is basically a system that predates the various discussion forums around the web, and existed long before the “World Wide Web” was invented (this was even in the early days of the Internet). The Wikipedia articles on the topics of both newsgroups and Usenet has more in-depth information for those who are interested.

I haven’t been following these newsgroups for about a year or so now, despite paying an annual fee for access, and I felt it was time to reintroduce myself into the community, just catching up on recent discussions.

Then, one day, this little gem popped up on my screen:

Full names censored to protect the guilty party (as well as the innocent one)

To be honest, I wasn’t quite sure what to think when I saw this.

When I see someone using the spelling “st00pid” (yes, that’s two zeros), I picture the author of that message as an idiot with poor drool control. Calling this type of people for mentally handicapped is merely an insult to the intelligence of those with an actual diagnosed disorder (those with such a diagnose actually deserve much better than being compared to these people).

These people are the lowest of lows on the food chain, and should be queued up for immediate removal from the gene pool. If these people have procreated, I feel sorry for the future of humankind.

Please, for the love of our common future, don’t fall into the trap of becoming one of these people.
